KitchenAid is a brand owned by Whirlpool Corporation appliances. The company was founded in 1919 by Hobart Corporation to provide an alternative restaurants hob industrial size mixers. The first model weighed 69 pounds. Each unit is being assembled by hand in Greenville, Ohio. The mixer is one of the only consumer devices brand specifically for its unique shape. The company was acquired by Whirlpool Corporation in 1986. Cooking Assistance Division is now exclusive to the Whirlpool Corporation. Appliances major kitchen aid competes against products from GE Monogram, Hotpoint, Bosch and Electrolux.
